Dani Maczynski
Brooklyn, NY
A graduate of Parsons New School for Design, Dani holds a BFA in Photography. She is a recipient of the 2014 Sony Emerging Photographer’s Grant for Social Engagement featuring her investigative journalism photo essay on the New Holland Auction House in New Holland, Pennsylvania. In 2015, seven of her fine art equestrian images were displayed in a solo show format at MaxMara’s Madison Avenue and Spring Street stores in New York City. These images now reside in a private collection.
Upon graduation, Dani began working for the New York Daily News as a Photo Journalist and Assignment Editor. In 2017, she was chosen as one of several global recipients to participate in the Photographers Without Borders humanitarian program. She spent three weeks in Vietnam working closely with a local NGO addressing the growing mental health crisis in Hanoi.
Continuing her love and passion for equestrian sport, Dani continues to travel the world as a sport and lifestyle photographer. When she isn’t behind the camera, she balances other passions for design, innovation and journalism as a Sr. Program Manager at Dataminr and Marketing Director for a personal project and cottage industry start-up called Velochair.
